Nobody can make a better pie than the one in my memory. That pie memory is of my grandmother's pie. Raisin pie, chocolate pie, pecan pie, every kind of fruit pie. Grandmother made great pies. Without a recipe, and the kind of pie depended on what she had on hand. If she was here, I'd beg her to enter this contest. But since she is no longer with us, you have a chance to win the best pie contest. Enter Branson’s Great American Pie Show presented by Taste of Home. Entry details are on the Taste of Home website.
There are four pie categories:
1. Fruit Pie
2. Nut Pie
3. Refrigerator/Freezer Pie
4. Pudding/Cream/Custard Pie
12 finalists will be invited to present their pies at the show on April 24 & 25, 2009 with NBC’s Al Roker from The Today Show. One grand-prize winner will receive $2,500 and a 4 day / 3 night stay in Branson. That's a lot of dough.

I can't think of a prettier place to enjoy spring than the Ozarks. Dogwood and redbud will be bloo

There are several restaurants in down town Branson that have long time pie makers. It just doesn't seem right to go to a pie show and not conduct your own research for best tasting pie in town. Tell me who you think makes the best pie in Branson.
